Jambo! :) It's a swahili word and it means "hello" :D I've learnt something today :D So now I'm lying in the hotel rooms uncomfortable bed, but otherwise I like this place. It's clean, classy and comfortable: I like it ;)
The bed is just hard :(
So after claming our bags and changing money we went with safari cars (not mini buses) to the hotel. It's called Nairobi Serena Hotel. During the trip from the airport to the hotel I learnt a few words Swahili and about Kenya from the driver. He was very nice, but I won't see him again cause he's not coming to the safari part :( Nairobi has 4 million inhabitans and it's Kenya's capital. All the important business is done here. The driver told me also about the tribes and differences between rich and poor. It was interesting and cool. It's like 17 degrees here at night cause Nairobi is situated so high above the water, but the day's temperature can rise up to 30 :)
When we came to the hotel we got some instructions and other information and then we headed to our rooms to re-arrange our luggage. See we have to take one soft bag to the safari and the suitcase with our other stuff will be sent directly to Mombasa (where this trip ends). It took a long while and after finishing I took a shover and brusched my teeth and everything that. It's strange here, cause you can't use the water from the tap to clean your face, drink or anything like that, so your supposed to use bottle water for everything that. Otherwise I like it here and I'm looking forward to the safari. But now I need to get some sleep before tomorrow dawns :)
Love Miranda
